New dean hopes fund-raiser gets CUNY out of the 'bat cave.' (Kristin Booth Glen new dean of City University of New York School of Law)
Article Abstract:
The City University of New York School of Law's new dean, former NY Supreme Court judge Kristin Booth Glen, is tackling its budget woes and related problems with several approaches. Back-to-back 10% budget cuts from the state necessitate a tight rein on most spending, with professors receiving precedence. Glen is also launching a fund-raising campaign, concentrating on local law firms rather than alumni, who mostly work in public-interest law. She has great hopes for interdisciplinary programs within CUNY.
