Opening Pandora's Box: The Panel's findings in the EC-Biotech Products dispute
Article Abstract:
The Panel report on the EC-Biotech Products dispute has opened a Pandora's Box of unintended consequences for the balance between free trade and national sanitary and phytosanitary protection. It is revealed that the Panel's findings will not change the system or framework within which the European Union takes decision on genetically modified organisms.

Shaping mutual recognition regimes in Asia: some lessons from the Japan-Singapore arrangement
Article Abstract:
An empirical analysis on the possible emergence of mutual recognition regimes in Asia and their differences from the models in the European Union or transatlantic framework is presented. Also reviewed is the implementation of the Japan-Singapore Economic Partnership Agreement of 2002.
