Paper-less in practice
Article Abstract:
Bruce A. Olson and Bob Nesemann are committed to leveraging state-of-the-art technology to provide their clients with optimal legal services at reasonable costs. Olson and Nesemann, partners in a general legal practice specializing in litigation, have strong insurance backgrounds that they apply to their main insurance clients. To provide these discriminating clients with competitively priced yet profitable services, Olson and Nesemann have implemented an inexpensive operational model based on non-traditional technology to form the most creatively and efficiently automated law practice in Wisconsin. The firm relies on Pentium 120s with 16MB of RAM, 1.2GB hard drives and 17-inch monitors. They run their network on Novell's Netware 4.1 that includes 4GB of storage space. Their office concept, called the Paper-LESS Office, aims to transform all of the firm's physical paper into digital paper via scanners. Their objective is to reduce both paper and redundant file processing.
