Article Abstract:
The need for lawyers to know about the expanding uses of insurance to give their clients about estate plans is discussed. The three-story estate plan makes new use of life insurance and incorporates long-term care insurance into the plan. Life insurance trusts are not included in the taxable estate and can thus shelter the estate from taxes after the death of the insured.
