Scott Turow ponders the '60s in new book; defying politically correct, he took on race while billing $325 an hour
Article Abstract:
Attorney-author Scott Turow's newest book, to be called 'The Laws of Our Fatherns,' will be published on Oct 18, 1996. This legal thriller is the fourth novel for the equity partner at Sonnenschein Nath and Rosenthal and the first three were best sellers. Turow is also at work on a TV pilot based on his first published book, 'One L,' about his first year as a student at the Harvard Law School. The plot of the newest novel recasts a familiar Turow formula, the intersection of legal rituals with real life, the shadows the characters' pasts cast over their present and the characters' better parts or old-fashioned values redeeming them in the end.
