Standing tall among giants
Article Abstract:
Lexis-Nexis VP of Technology Ronald Staudt describes the company's Xchange product as a browser-like front end for accessing Lexis-Nexis services. He says Xchange is a Web-native platform constructed on the Microsoft commercial Internet system, and he points out that Xchange permits Lexis-Nexis to put up various kinds of data, such as applets, discussion groups or graphics, which differ from what is in the company's central database. In other words, Xchange not only offers access to the Lexis-Nexis online service but also provides a framework that lets users interact with each other while maintaining access to the service.
