Article Abstract:
Issues regarding the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protecting Act are discussed, a law which took effect towards the end of 1999 in response to the Internet's growing problems of trademark infriingement and unfair competition. Rulings have just started to be issued under the act.

Article Abstract:
The need for in-depth knowledge of patent law as it relates to the high technology industry posed by the increase in such cases reaching the bench is discussed. The increase in copyright cases in the early 1980s marked the beginning of questions as to judges' technological prowess.

Sexual bias suits against Wall Street brokerage firms are discussed, as is the added problem that mandatory arbitration agreements tend to bar the way to court. Complaints of continued sex discrimination persist, and some class members have even opted out of settlements for two of the suits.
