Stenographers - a dying breed?
Article Abstract:
Courts in South Florida are installing digital systems to capture proceedings, providing savings for the Palm Beach County Circuit Court. The importance of court reporters for recording court proceedings is presented even though the utility and potential cost savings of a digital system still doesn't replace the human factor of a live stenographer.

Samsung pays for e-mail erasure
Article Abstract:
Mosaid Technology filed an infringement suit against Samsung Electronics Co. in 2001, claiming that a range of patents involving dynamic RAM technology was infringed. The sanctions were for the spoliation of e-mail evidence when Samsung failed to turn over discoverable e-mails to Mosaid.
