It's Baa-aa-kke! A circuit split aims affirmative action at the Supreme Court
Article Abstract:
The probability of an affirmative action case soon landing in the US Supreme Court due to a circuit split on the issue is discussed. An issue in all of the cases moving through the federal courts is also the continued support of the universities by the US Department of Justice.

Article Abstract:
The stories of three ordinary citizens who took their claims all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court are given. These include a regulatory taking case, a suit for the right of a bible club to meet at a local high school, and a suit against a police department for being jailed for a minor traffic violation.

Did Congress go too far? Habeas review of deportation is issue in Supreme Court
Article Abstract:
The danger of deportation faced by aliens found guilty of so-called aggravated offenses is discussed. The Supreme Court will soon decide whether the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996 stripped the federal courts of their authority to hear some claims of lawful resident aliens found guilty of so-called aggravated offenses.
