When is speech too free? Campaign tactics of judicial candidates come under disciplinary scrutiny
Article Abstract:
Questionable campaign tactics by Judge Patricia Gray in her campaign for reelection to the California Superior Court bench for Sonoma County are discussed. Other states tend to view attempts to crack down on judicial campaign tactics as violations of the judges' free speech rights.

Disciplinary failure; lawyer suspended in Tennessee continued misdeeds in Illinois
Article Abstract:
An effective disciplinary process sometimes depends on the honesty of the attorney facing discipline. A case in point is James Bernard Bell, who moved to Illinois after being suspended from practice in Tennessee. His past caught up with him after twelve years and he was disbarred in Illinois as well.
