AFS members and the intergovernmental panel on climate change: a broad partnership
Article Abstract:
The involvement of the American Fisheries Society (AFS) in climate change research is discussed. The AFS has been involved in these studies since the 1970s. The organization has also chaired the World Oceans and Coastal Zones in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) First Assessment Report in 1990, and the IPCC Impacts Assessment Supplement in 1992.
