Affairs to remember
Article Abstract:
ITV director of programmes David Liddiment seems convinced that current affairs can be a viable part of the commercial broadcaster's schedule. Why global competitiveness requires ITV plc
Article Abstract:
The UK government should be aware that ITV is vital to the future international competitiveness of the UK television broadcasting industry. At present, ITV is made up of small regional operations, and faces the prospect of marginalization in both the domestic and international markets if it is not quickly consolidated. It remains uncertain whether the government will be prepared to allow the regional ITV companies to take the necessary steps to secure their future.
