Auntie's birthday secrets
Article Abstract:
The British Broadcasting Corporation plans to introduce a new television series entitled Auntie - The Inside Story of the BBC, which includes archive footage of interviews conducted by the BBC in 1972 by former war correspondent Frank Gillard. The interviews with BBC staff were intended to provide an overall picture of early experiences in the BBC for future use. The new series will be shown as part of the 75th birthday celebrations for the BBC. The series producer, Jeremy Bennett of 3BM Television, believes the series exposes both negative and positive aspects of the BBC.

The Grand Prix of TV
Article Abstract:
The 50th Prix Italia television and radio festival is to be held in Assisi, Italy. The festival ranks tops among similar showcases, although criticisms include: category clashes which require guests to choose between programmes; and recent rule changes which allow organisations to enter both a juror and a programme. The 1998 festival has replaced the Arts and Music section with Performing Arts.
