Bennett quits BBC for Discovery post

Jana Bennett, BBC Production deputy chief executive and director of programs, has confirmed that she is to join Discovery Communications as senior vice president and general manager of The Learning Channel. Bennett has been considering the Discovery offer for several weeks. She will leave the corporation in mid-Sept., relocating with her family to the US, near Washington D.C. Front runners for her jod are said to include Jeremy Gibson, Lorraine Heggessey, Anne Morrison, Glenwyn Benson, and Peter Salmon.
