Capron hits out at BBC over tenders
Article Abstract:
BBC's requirement that bidders for BBC1's Question Time must have substantial business and production base outside the M25 has been criticized by Christopher Capron of Capron Productions, the producer of the show for the last four years. Capron, who is set to retire from television, commented that a production base in regional or non-metropolitan area is of no use considering that the nature of the show is politics and it must be produced inside London, UK. BBC plans to make some changes in Question Time but will retain David Dimbley as its host regardless of which company wins the contract.
