Carlton forms $20m US production fund

Carlton Communications has won a programming fund-joint venture with the Public Broadcasting Service(PBS), as PBS repositions its American programming. Carlton's American presence will be expanded, with the contract giving Carlton international rights excluding the U. S., and PBS retaining American rights for its 300 plus stations.

TV to breed new wildlife
Article Abstract:
ITV is planning to increase non-traditional wildlife documentary programming with host interaction and less of the biology lesson approach. The BBC Natural History Unit plans to move wildlife programming to BBC 2 and BBC 4, from BBC 1 in an effort to shift factual programming onto BBC 2, and natural history programming onto BBC 4.
