Choice's slate announced

BBC Choice, which is being touted as a general entertainment channel to complement BBC 2 and BBC 1, has finalized commissions for a schedule of shows that will become part of the free-to-air channel's unveiling in September 1998. BBC Choice has commissioned a 30-minute sports news and features show that will be produced by Keith Bunker and will be aired everyday. Other shows of BBC Choice connected to BBC 1 production will include Watchdog Extra, with Geraldine McLelland as the show's executive producer for BBC features and events.

BBC America lands co-pro 'first.'
Article Abstract:
BBC America has made its first co-production agreement for first-run BBC drama, with a package that includes Great Expectations, Aristocrats as well as The Mrs Bradley Mysteries. The package is worth a total of 12 million pounds sterling. BBC America will have the US premiere of The Mrs Bradley Mysteries, whereas WGBH Boston, its co-production partner, will premier the other two dramas. WGBH will contribute $4.2 million to the 12-million pounds sterling budget for the dramas.
