Cosgrove Hall wins CITV commissions

Two children's program series from animation house Cosgrove Hall have been commissioned by Nigel Pickard, controller for Children's ITV (CITV), for airing in the year 2000. UK-based Cosgrove Hall has been commissioned for two animation series that are still in development, which are the Little Grey Rabbit, encompassing 26 shows of 10 minutes each; and Vampires, Pirates and Aliens, comprising 26 shows of 30 minutes each. CITV has also commissioned Two Sides TV to produce The Fantastic Flying Journey, an animated series encompassing 13 shows of 30 minutes each and based on the children's book authored by Gerald Durrell.

S+V joins Zenith for co-pro deals
Article Abstract:
Sunset and Vine (S+V), an independent production firm, and Zenith Productions have signed a joint production endeavor to create drama and children's co-production to be launched in the international arena. The deal, announced by S+V parent The Television Corporation (TV Corp), includes an ongoing development of a 13-part children's live action drama. TV Corp likewise made known an 11% rise in pre-tax profits of 1.69 million pounds sterling for the half-year ending June 1998. TV Corp's increase were pushed by S+V's robust operations, with the latter experiencing operating profits higher by almost 60%.
