Do shut up, Alasdair
Article Abstract:
Alasdair Milne commented that women executives who thrust cookery, makeover and gardening shows in the programming dominate BBC. A stirring rejoinder finds that women have broken through the glass ceiling and hold key positions in the public sector television and in the media publishing groups. This position is not reflected in the world of business as only five of the top 350 top companies had female chief executives and 39 FTSE companies did not have female directors at all.
