John Wilson Parsons: field fishery biologist of the world
Article Abstract:
John Wilson Parsons, a biologist, associated with the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) in Atlanta but later shifted to the Missouri river project and then finally to Fish Lab, was very much attracted by the fishes, specially, the blue pike. The manner in which he was associated with the fisheries all over the world during his lifetime is discussed.

Article Abstract:
Fishing activities in Rhode Island were studied to find methods of defining subsistence fishing activities. Respondents stressed recreational benefits and motivations but not subsistence.
