Jane Lighting launched Minotaur International, television program distribution company, in 1995 and reported pre-tax profit of 935k pounds sterling on turnover of 11 mil pounds sterling. Minotaur began life without any contracts and just 200k pounds sterling, because Lighting refused to become involved with investors, preferring to remain independent. She now plans to start a production finance unit t run in conjunction with Minotaur.
