Five nurtures wildlife strand for primetime

A flagship wildlife program is being outlined by Five, that would feature an animal or an animal expert on a journey to explore the natural world, with the program catering to young male audience. The strand's name has yet to be decided on, but budget for each documentary is set to be about 200,000 pounds sterling per episode. The documentary 'The Wolfman' was aired earlier this year as a test run for the planned strand.

BBC doc to follow Olympic hopefuls

BBC will produce Olympic Dreams, a documentary following a group of young British athletes preparing for the 2012 London Olympics. The documentary will take on the format of A Child of Our Time and is set to air starting 17 December 2007, with plans to move the program to prime time as the 2012 Olympics approaches.
