Hunting films
Article Abstract:
There is now growing competition to secure natural history programming for global channel launches. Latest developments include moves by Discovery to reach agreements to obtain new output and library material from the natural history unit of TVNZ, the BBC's natural history unit and Survival. Discovery has already linked with United News and Media, the parent company of Survival, in an effort to purchase a 40% stake in the wildlife production operations of TVNZ. This could also lead to closer links between Discovery and natural history specialist Partridge Films.
