Indies strike new BBC deal
Article Abstract:
As a result of the new agreement with BBC, indies will be allowed to sell programmes commissioned for BBC to other channels. Shows on BBC1 and BBC2 will be permitted to be sold six months after they are first broadcast and shows on BBC3 and BBC4 will be allowed after one and a half to two years. However, children's programme rights will remain with BBC for five years.
