Article Abstract:
Independent Television's (ITV's) revised programme schedule to attract a younger audience has not been very successful. The broadcasting network changed its programme line-up after being criticised by the Independent Television Commission for being staid. New programmes include Jack Dee's Saturday Night and The Big, Big Talent Show. Many of the network's programmes have run out of appeal, says entertainments controller Claudia Rosencrantz.

The London Programme Market (LPM) will see relatively small distributors competing with larger companies, such as British Independent Television Enterprises (BRITE). The smaller companies claim they can choose what they have in their catalogues whereas larger distributors have programmes delivered in bulk.
