Lion Television intends to use its recent earnings to deficit finance factual and drama productions so that the company can gain rights to its own material. Lion Television, which is in a healthy financial position due to income from format sales, program sales, publishing deals, and TV-associated work, no longer has plans to sell a part of the company or form alliances with other companies.

Collingwood O'Hare Entertainment has spent ten years bringing 'The King's Beard,' an animated children's feature, to production on a budget of 1.2 million pounds sterling. The producers used a Czech orchestra to record the soundtrack that was composed by Philip Appleby. The feature will air on ITV 1.
