Pact reveals details of kids TV credit plan
Article Abstract:
Pact published a report regarding details on proposals for funding of kids television programs with the introduction of Children's Content Credit, which will provide tax breaks for shows that would meet the requirements to reinvigorate kids TV. Pact laid down recommendations regarding the topic: factual programmes for kids aged 6 to 12; must be aired in the UK; must pass "cultural test" based on their UK subject matter content, contribution to cultural diversity, heritage and creativity, and usage of the UK's production facilities and personnel; and unique nature of animation. The proposal's details are set to be polished as it is to be taken before the Parliament.
