Spending on kids TV has collapsed, says Ofcom

Ofcom's report on children's television programming highlighted the crisis facing the the kids TV sector, such as the drop in funding of first-run UK-originated programming by 14%, from 127 million pounds in 1998 to 106 million pounds in 2006. The report also presented that the UK kids television shows in 2007 only account for 17% of kids hours, but have a 38% viewer share. Other topics discussed in the Ofcom report are discussed.

Minotaur name to disappear
Article Abstract:
A major restructure after Target Entertainment acquired distribution company Minotaur in July 2007 will lead to the dropping of the Minotaur brand. Over the next few months, Minotaur will be known as Target, and its sales teams will be merged into the new parent company. Other details of the restructuring plan are discussed.
