Political comments on Islam and communication

Article Abstract:

Chairman of the Pakistani senate Waseem Sajjad feels that the Western world should not oppose Islamic culture. Western media tend to ignore or give negative views of Islam, but this comes from ignorance. Islam is favorable to the spread of democracy and freedom, rather than constituting an authoritarian political mentality. Further, the world's peoples are undergoing a resurgence of religious sentiment which Islam is supportive of.

Towards a cultural theory of political ideology and mass media in the Muslim world

Article Abstract:

The Qur'an and Hadith can be used to create a cultural theory to explain Islamic mass media and politics. The fundamental concept of political ideology is 'The People' and their rights. Mass media fulfill the universal human needs for information, socialization and entertainment. The Muslim world is out of step with media potentials and needs to use cultural theory to advance in its use of media.

Political comments on Islam and communication

Article Abstract:

Islam should be given a fair hearing in Western media. There are misunderstandings of Islam which come from fanaticism, self-interest, nationalism and moral vacuums in the world. Islam is compatible with Western culture, and a religious world should be the goal of mankind. World politics will be improved as governments become religious, such as in Iran.
