Assignments and renewal
Article Abstract:
Assignment of licenses applications pursuant to the sale of a radio or television station should be timed to avoid coinciding with the station's renewal period. The new owners may have difficulty in establishing the renewal expectancy that demonstrates the ability to serve the community. During the renewal period, the Federal Communications Commission may decide that ownership and control issues have to be investigated.
