Shining light into a dark corner
Article Abstract:
"Stuart: A Life Backwards" is a television drama based on charity worker Alexander Masters' memoir about Stuart Shorter. Shorter is a homeless alcoholic with a dark past of sexual abuse and drug addiction, but his story also lends a sense of warmth which is why it is powerful. The making of the television program on BBC2 is described.
