Sales spree tops Granada's plans
Article Abstract:
Granada Group is coming under considerable pressure to speed up the 1 billion pounds sterling sale of the parts of the Forte hotel and restaurant operation which it does not plan to retain. The group's media assets, which include LWT and half of Granada Sky Broadcasting, are very small in relation to its other activities, but in fact are very significant to the company's future profitability. Once the group has sold off its hotel operations, media activities are likely to be the focus of its attentions.
