Article Abstract:
BBC1's documentary series 'Vets in Practice,' which is being produced by BBC Bristol Features, will run for 20 episodes from Aug 26 1997. This series, which follows up trainee vets who appeared in the series 'Vet School,' is being produced at a very frantic pace. It has been necessary for the production team to follow the work of the vets extremely closely, and this has created many challenges. The production team has been placed under additional strain because the size of the commission has been increased and the series has been brought forward.

Overseas sales
Article Abstract:
Many independent television producers, from the UK, find it advantageous to join forces with a distribution company with experience in the international market. The independent production company, Wall to Wall TV, has joined forces with several international broadcasters to co-produce documentary programs. Some 33% of Wall to Wall TV's turnover is made from commissions in the overseas market. Planet 24 and Ardent Productions have also expanded operations into the international market.
