Article Abstract:
Women have to work harder than males just to get to where they are, and when they break the glass ceiling, the status and pay scales begin to drop. A lot of the engineering aspect of postproduction has vanished, making both women and men more artists than operators, and leading to more women joining the industry. The fact is that men and women have different sets of skills and they should be fairly judged on the basis on their talent.

Technology may be a cure for many ills of television broadcasting industry. But it certainly is not everything. It cannot replace the skills and motivation that individuals bring to a project. Technology helps in making things cheaper and forcing down the price of talents. It is also forcing filmmakers to master more than one skill, making them Jack of all trades and ace of none.
