Lord Hutton believed almost everything politicians and civil servants told him during the course of his inquiry. The Hutton inquiry was praised for its tenacity and transparency in unearthing the truth of events leading up to the death of Dr. David Kelly, but it is clear that Lord Hutton's verdict shows that he does not understand modern media and journalism.
