Article Abstract:
Online companies such as BTopenworld and Qpass have been using micropayments, typically in amounts below 5 pounds sterling, to charge their users. These payments come in the forms of online wallets and drop dialling software. The online wallets store credit and debit card details, enabling customers to buy CDs and books, while drop dialling, which is a piece of software that is downloaded, charges the user a premium rate per minute.
