Thriller at Four
Article Abstract:
Channel 4's new Chief Executive Michael Jackson is expected to have a significant impact on the terrestrial television broadcaster. The company has been performing rather badly recently, and it is widely expected that Jackson will make some radical changes. However, it is likely that change will take place only gradually, as Jackson has a reputation for being meticulous, and will therefore not act impulsively. He has already requested commissioning editors to provide information on issues such as key audience and key suppliers.

Article Abstract:
The BBC has been sharing television broadcasting rights with satellite broadcaster Sky TV for some time already, but is now facing strong competition from ITV and Channel 5, which are also seeking links with Sky TV. ITV has recently purchased the UK terrestrial trial rights to MCA's 'The Beast,' with the satellite rights going to Sky TV. This is likely to be the first sign of ITV working with Sky TV.
