Battle drills: Improving small proficiency in combat
Article Abstract:
The omission of battle drills in the Operating Forces and during training slows a unit's reaction time, degrades combat effectiveness according to situational changes, and potentially contributes to needless loss of lives. In order to accomplish a mission, a leader must recognize the need for a rehearsed plan to be executed under different circumstances, and the unit's warfighting capabilities are increased if battle drills, rehearsals and immediate action drills are included in unit training.

Translating fire support basics to success on the battlefield
Article Abstract:
Predeployment fire support training environment must be developed in order to establish tactical and procedural innovation on the battlefield. It is observed that the progressive, repetitive peacetime training regime truly allows to gain the understanding, comprehension, and teamwork necessary to integrate and coordinate fire support in combat.
