Conducting expeditionary public affairs
Article Abstract:
Embedding the public affairs officers (PAOs) and commands into the Marine Division's tactical units proved to be very successful, as it countered the Iraqi propaganda attempts by having the media reporting the division's combat operations to the world. The key communication objectives, conditions for individual and unit success in the media prior to combat and tactical victories during the fight are discussed.
