Can al-Qaida be defeated?: It'll take more than military muscle
Article Abstract:
Al-Qaida, an anti-western terrorist network involved in dispensing money and logistical support and training to a wide variety of radical Islamic terrorist group and has about more than 18,000 operatives working in various parts of the world. Terminating this organization is difficult, as large number of Islamic groups are getting involved and the details of the various measures taken to curtail this organization for peace are discussed.

The new Guard
Article Abstract:
The National Guard as a whole, but in particular the Army Guard, is making the transformation into a global, full-spectrum force. The Guard's contribution has extended far beyond providing combat support and combat service support units for the active component and at the same time its traditional mission of securing the homeland was highlighted by the response to Hurricane Katrina.
