Classification of naval ships
Article Abstract:
Ship classification is the classification of merchant vessels on the basis of construction rules issued by Classification Societies and serves the rapid and easy determination of the principle dimensions of structural members and shipboard equipment. The reasons for the classification of naval ships, Rules of Germaniseher Lloyd (GL) and construction of naval ships construction supervision as per NATO-STANAG, and problems with the classification of naval ships are described.
