The crafts of confusion
Article Abstract:
The use of deception to confuse the enemy is a tactic that has been proven since time immemorial. Deceptive devices, such as webbings, color-based camouflage and thermal and radar-reflective screens, all work with the aim of concealing the actual presence of war materiel or personnel in the vicinity of the conflict. Decoys, on the other hand, are aimed at luring the enemy into a position away from the actual conflict and expending valuable resources along the way.
