Coalition partners plug in for illusory deployment during Exercise 'Brimstone'
Article Abstract:
Coalition partners from Germany, the US and the UK participated in Exercise 'Brimstone' from 27 to 30 March 2006, the largest-ever synthetic training exercise played out remotely from simulators and vessels both alongside and under way across Europe and North America in 2006. The exercise marked the combat certification event for the US Navy's USS Enterprise, which led a carrier strike group comprising real vessels under way and fictional assets plugged in to the scenario from shore.
