U.K., France, Norway order submarine rescue system
Article Abstract:
The British Ministry of Defense together with French and Norwegian governments had awarded Rolls Royce a contract for the pronouncement of the NATO Submarine Rescue System (NSRS) that is capable of deploying anywhere in the world within 72 hours to help rescue trapped crewmembers of a sunken submarine. A remotely operated vehicle (ROV) will locate the submarine and establish contact with survivors by tapping on the hull of the sunken submarine or by underwater telephone.

Politics at play in presidential helicopter fleet program?
Article Abstract:
The U.S. navy plans to choose a company to build the hyper-politicized new fleet of presidential helicopters after the election since more time is needed to assess technical risks associated with the two machines in offing-the all-American Sikorsky Vh-92 and the US101, a variant of Anglo-Italian AgustaWestland's EI101. Both Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin Corp., which teamed with the AgustaWestland consortium on the US101 are in the battle to build this helicopters.
