Clemco makes the paint peel
Article Abstract:
Clemco Industries' Aerolyte Systems Div has introduced a dry stripping application that removes paint from rotary-and fixed-wing aircraft. The application employs a wheat starch or plastic media to non-destructively strip coatings from aircraft, components and ground support equipment. The dry stripping process less costlier than chemical stripping and does away with the handling and disposal of volatile toxic chemicals.
