UK Royal Navy receives first Scanter 4100
Article Abstract:
The UK Royal Navy has the first Scanter 4100 shipborne air and surface surveillance radar installed on board its patrol ship HMS Clyde. Scanter 4100 is an advanced component of the family of Scanter radars for coastal and naval applications, and the system uses a navigation tracker, a slow target tracker, a fast target tracker and an air target tracker, which in combination provide track data to the ship's combat system databus.

PzH 2000 howitzers make combat debut
Article Abstract:
The Netherlands defence ministry (MoD) stated on 5 September 2006 that Krauss-Maffei Wegmann-built PzH 2000 self-propelled 155 mm/52-calibre howitzers are being used in combat for the first time. The PzH 2000 howitzers were moved to Kandahar province to support Canadian and Afghan troops involved in Operation 'Medusa'.
