FiST up! Task organizing fire support teams for maximum flexibility in mechanized operations
Article Abstract:
The value of team member' coordination and training was put to test in Operation Iraqi Freedom, which gave greater flexibility and success in war. The infantry company fire support team (FiST) was collocated with the company commander in one assault amphibious vehicle (AAV) to increase the flexibility and ability to influence the battlefield.
