Hydra's separate magazine wells hold the key to its multi-caliber flexibility
Article Abstract:
The MGI 'Hydra', named after the seven-headed monster from Greek mythology, has many new features including a quick-change barrel, different magazine wells for assault rifle (AR) and AK magazines, and two bolt carriers and bolts for 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm. Hydra is a significant development in the history of AR rifles, which can shoot any cartridge that fits within the basic platform, offering multi-caliber flexibility.
