Iran's confidence and clout in the Middle East region is increasing. Tehran wants to dominate in the Middle East, replacing the U.S. as the region's power broker and commanding over its Sunni Arab neighbors though, with the fall of competitors, Saddam Hussein and Taliban, Iran is reasserting itself on the international stage.
