Iraq, Afghanistan troops' UORs result in British Army armored vehicle upgrades
Article Abstract:
The Urgent operation requirements (UORs) raised by troops deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq are resulting in implementation of a high amount of modifications to the British Army's armored vehicle fleet by BAE Systems Land Systems and its industry partners. Deployment of 14 up-armored versions of the British Army's Bulldog upgraded FV430-series armored personnel carrier (APC) is the latest outcome of this move.

Germany advances future soldier system
Article Abstract:
The German Army's entire infantry branch will be equipped with Infanterist der Zukunft (IdZ) future soldier system ensembles, together with new light, medium or heavy armored mobility platforms. Deliveries of the first full-production V1 version of IdZ are to begin in 2006.
